1956年，Nils
Foss在丹麦成立福斯公司，致力于开发和生产用于食品及农业领域的各类分析仪器。近五十年来，福斯公司已经发展成为集研发、生产、市场推广、销售、售后服务于一体的集团公司。公司现有雇员约1100人，全球2003年营业额达12亿丹麦克朗（约人民币16亿）。集团下设丹麦、瑞典、美国三个研发生产公司，在世界各国设有21个销售及服务分公司及100多个独家代理商。今天，福斯集团已经成为世界上最大的食品及农业领域分析方案提供商之一，全球约85%的牛奶生产，80%的谷物交易，75%的啤酒生产都在使用福斯提供的分析方案。
从七十年代开始,福斯的产品就进入了中国市场。1994年福斯中国在北京设立了代表处，随后又相继在上海和广州设立了代表处。随着中国业务的迅速发展，现在福斯中国已设立了销售、市场、商务、应用支持及售后服务等部门，全国共有40多名雇员。
福斯中国不仅可以为中国用户提供仪器设备，还可以为用户提供售前咨询、预设定标曲线，并可以利用北京的实验室为用户做定制的应用开发。经过多年的努力，福斯已经在中国销售安装了近万台仪器，拥有商检、食品、饲料、乳品、粮食检测、面粉、农业研究、育种等不同的行业约5000个满意的用户，每年举办十多次用户使用培训课程。福斯中国全体员工将秉承公司一贯的价值理念：“第一”，“客户满意”，“知识”，“以人为本，团队合作”，为中国用户提供更专业的分析解决方案和更优质的服务

development of business in China, Foss Group has already set up three
representative offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, one fully owned
technical service Company and four other CA service stations. More than 40
dedicated employees are working for FOSS China now. They are responsible for
marketing, sales, application support, and after-sales service respectively.
Foss china can
not only supply instruments, but also provide pre-sales consulting, customized
application support, and after-sales service for customers in the field of
commodity quality inspection, food, feed, dairy, grain, flour, breeding and
agricultural research. With hard work of all professional employees, about ten
thousand units of instrument have been installed for more than five thousand
customers in China. More than ten training courses or seminars are organized for
